Facial reconstruction from the skull – illustrated tables

The other day I posted the original 2011 Stephan and Simpson 2011 tissue depth tables, and reformatted them to not only make them a bit more user-friendly, but also did a cross-reference to the 30-yr old Rhine tables that people are most familiar with.

Now I’ve gone totally nuts and posted some visuals to go along with it! I hope this helps; let me know if there’s something that doesn’t make sense. What you see below is a JPEG; if you click on it, it will take you to a high-resolution PDF that you can download and print.

Thanks for doing this and sharing with the rest of us. I’ll be putting my bright white, best paper in the printer for these.

  • Thank you so much, Lisa!

  • You’re welcome :^) It’s funny, just by putting these together, I think I’ve got 90% of the measurements memorized! The visuals just stick in my head, much better than staring at a chart!
